deposits and booking

by sending a deposit you are confirming that you have read, understand, and agree to the following policies:

A deposit is required before booking any appointment and may vary depending on the design and the artist. Artists will not begin designing any project until a deposit has been obtained.

Please contact the studio for more information regarding deposit amounts.

In the event that an individual changes artists (under acceptable circumstances), deposit amounts may differ and a difference may be owed.

All deposits are non-refundable and are applied to the last hour of your appointment, with NO exceptions. If you have multiple sessions, it will be applied to your last session.

We value your time commitment, and our artists time reserved for creating for the perfect tattoo for your session. Accordingly, for sessions of 3 hours or more, please be advised that if you end the session early you will still be liable for payment for the minimum allotted time of 3 hours.

please make sure you discuss with your artist your tolerance and schedule and ensure you only book session durations that you are confident you can dedicate your time to.

 

Age Requirement

Our minimum age requirement is 18 years old given that the individual has parental consent, and 19 years old without parental consent.

We require that a valid form of government-issued I.D. be presented at the time of the appointment.

Acceptable forms of I.D. include: Drivers License, Health Card, Passport, Military Identification Card, Permanent Resident Card, or Birth Certificate accompanied by any photo I.D.

Lack of this may result in the appointment being rescheduled and a forfeited deposit.


Late Arrivals and No-Shows

If you believe that you will be late to your appointment contact the studio immediately by texting (778)581-2118.
In the event that an individual is late, rescheduling may be necessary and/or additional charges may be added to the appointment at artists discretion.

Clients are considered No-Shows after 15 minutes passed their agreed-upon appointment time. In this event, the deposit is forfeited, and an additional deposit will be required for rebooking.


Rescheduling

We require a minimum of 7 days - 1 week’ notice for any rescheduling. You must actually speak to one of our receptionists when rescheduling and receive a confirmation with them.
Rescheduling requests must be done via phone call (do not leave a voicemail for rescheduling as it may not be heard in time) or sent in via email to contact@inkroomtattoos.com.

In the event of rescheduling, the client will be booked in for the artists next available appointment. If the studio is not provided with sufficient notice,
the deposit will be forfeited as it covers the artists effort and design time, and an additional deposit will be required for rebooking.  

Each client is granted up to 2 reschedules per project, any additional rescheduling will result in a forfeited deposit and an additional deposit will be required for rebooking.

In the event that a client needs to reschedule within 48 hours due to an emergency, proof must be provided to the studio within 24 hours if the client wishes to reschedule with their existing deposit.
If proof cannot be provided the deposit will be forfeited and we will require an additional deposit for rebooking.


Design Changes

We require a minimum of 48* hours’ notice for any design changes. In the event that sufficient notice is not given,
the deposit may be forfeited, or a drawing fee may be added to the service.
*unless you are speaking directly with an artist, minimum times may vary. please clarify with your artist
ex. speaking with them directly through instagram

If multiple design changes are made at the time of the appointment an additional drawing fee may be added to the service at the artists discretion.

In the event that design changes are quite elaborate, an additional consultation may be necessary which could result in rescheduling the original appointment.

Please keep in mind that each artist specializes in different styles.
If design changes do not align with the original artists style, the client may* be rebooked with a different artist.
*we do not tolerate any rude, discriminatory, or aggressive behaviour towards any member of our studio.
We have the right to deny service from any client who offends or makes one of our members feel uncomfortable.
This may result in a forfeited deposit without the option to rebook.


Touch Ups

Clients are subject to one free retouch within the year following their appointment given that the client follows the aftercare instructions provided by the studio.

Retouches will be charged for the following circumstances:

  • If you do not follow the aftercare process which we instructed you on and your tattoo does not heal well.
    Factors that may cause poor healing include but are not limited to: Tanning or sun-burning (in beds or in natural sun), skin trauma and scarring,
    eczema, drinking too much the night before, taking medication that provokes removal of the tattoo, or a similar situation while it's in the healing process. (example: Taking Antibiotics)

  • Depending on how big the tattoo is, they typically can range from $50 to $150. Example: (Small tattoo = $50-75, Full Sleeve : $150)  That also depends on how long the retouch takes. 

Areas that are excluded from our 1-year touch-up policy: fingers, hands, feet, and any flexion points.
Tattoos done in these areas are prone to fading and natural rejection therefore we cannot guarantee their longevity and touch ups will be at the client’s expense.

Getting a foot/ knee/ hand/ finger tattoo disclaimer

our policies regarding FOOT/ KNEE/ hand/ finger tattoos- as they are on "high flexion" and high use areas of the body, we cannot guarantee their longevity. 

Due to the placement it is likely that the tattoo may fade AND require touch ups in the future.

Of course we do our best to make sure it will be long lasting, however we cannot guarantee it as it will depend on your skin type and usage. 

For this reason FOOT/ KNEE/hand/ finger touch ups are not free.


Health + Medical

We do not tattoo persons who are pregnant or nursing. Please ensure that you are not pregnant or nursing during the time period that you are going to be tattooed.
*If your situation changes please contact the studio AS soon as possible!

if you are on blood thinners please consult your doctor prior to booking in

skin conditions may affect how the tattoo heals. please disclose any skin conditions prior to booking an appointment.

We cannot tattoo persons taking antibiotics. If you are taking antibiotics, please ensure the date of the appointment is after you are done taking them.
*if you were not taking antibiotics at the time of booking but have began taking them, please contact the studio as soon as possible!
*If medical condition poses a risk to the artist/any member of staff, we may have to reschedule you with another artist/for another date.

Even with parental or guardian consent, you MUST be at least 18 years old and must provide valid government-issued photo ID to get tattooed.


 

We have zero tolerance for any rude, discriminatory, or aggressive behaviour towards any member of our studio. We have the right to deny service from any client who offends or makes one of our members feel uncomfortable. This may result in a forfeited deposit without the option to rebook.
