The aftercare of your tattoo will greatly determine the way it will look once it is fully healed.
For that reason, it is imperative that you follow these instructions for the next 2 – 4 weeks until the healing process is complete.
Immediate after care
Once the tattoo is complete, we will wrap your entire tattoo area. Make sure you wear your bandage for 24 hours to 48 hours at a minimum. You can wear it up to 6 days.
After, remove the wrap gently and slowly – wash it with clean hands & room temperature water only, gently with an unscented soap until it feels completely clean and no longer slimy.
Gently PAT dry with a single use paper towel.
Let your tattoo air dry until it is completely dry. (Every time you wash it)
Apply a VERY thin layer of Hustle Butter, unscented lotion, or Lubriderm after drying it. It is very important that you do not over moisturize.
on going after care
Keep washing your tattoo 2 to 3 times per day using the same method above, without wrapping unless discussed with artist. WASH your hands before washing your tattoo.
Keep applying a very thin layer Tattoo Goo, Hustle Butter, unscented lotion, 2-3 x a day.
DO NOT PICK SCABS! This will cause your tattooed skin to bleed causing ink removal.
DO NOT touch the tattoo with your hands, they might be dirty and you may not be aware of that.
DO NOT expose the tattoo to any dirty environments.
DO NOT soak your tattoo, go swimming, go to the gym or go to a sauna, tanning or steam for at least 2 weeks.
DO NOT take long showers
DO NOT expose your tattoo to the sun while it is in the healing process.
Make sure you avoid getting body wash, lotions and shampoos that have fragrances or alcohol in them on your tattoo, if you do wash immediately.
Make sure all clothes, bed sheets, and everything around the tattoo is clean.
Wear loose clothing over your tattoo while it heals to avoid any rubbing.
If your tattoo gets dirty or you sweat a lot, wash your tattoo immediately with clean hands.
If you notice any infection like redness or white liquid leaking after a few days, contact us about it.
